Map Policy

The File Works LLC is committed to supporting the advertising and promotion of Simonds Hand File products through our traditional distribution partners. To maintain the integrity of the Simonds brand and ensure fair competition, we have implemented a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy. This policy applies only to advertised pricing, not the actual selling price.

 

Key Guidelines:

• MAP pricing is set by The File Works LLC and may be updated at any time.

• The policy applies to all forms of advertising, including but not limited to: flyers, posters, coupons, mailers, print ads, catalogs, email campaigns, websites, online marketplaces, social media, TV, radio, and public signage.

• In-store signage or promotions that are displayed only within a physical location and not distributed externally are not subject to this policy.

• Distributors are free to sell products at any price; MAP only restricts advertised prices.

• There is no maximum advertised price — distributors may advertise above MAP as they choose.

 

Why This Policy Matters:

• To preserve the value and reputation of the Simonds brand

• To support fair competition across all sales channels

• To prevent price undercutting and protect distributor margins
